Stars, spinning and flashing, existed long before eyes perceived them. The worlds gathered from the dust of dead stars, and one one such world, stray dusts bonded together in an unlikely way, producing small organisms that scuttled around primordial seas, and, instead of fizzling back into the nothingness that created them, they reproduced.
